After losing Schubert, in 1997, I visited the Jersey Animal Shelter. I was just in time to be shown Holly who was 18 months old. I was told that I could take her home for a couple of weeks to see if she would settle in. When we got home she explored the house and then looked me saying "Yes, I like it and I am staying".
