Schubert joined us when he was just a puppy. Training went well until he was a year old and then decided that he should train me. When he was seven we found that he had a heart condition, cardiomyopathy. The medication seemed to do well for just a couple of months. The vet told me that it was sometimes a problem with large male dogs.
